Welcome to our website

St. Seachnall's National School is a primary school of over 500 pupils situated in the town of Dunshaughlin, in County Meath, about 25 km. north west of Dublin. We are a mixed school with 19 mainstream classes, five Special Education Teachers and an administrative Principal, Jim Gilligan.
We also have a Centre for European Schooling (CES) for pupils of parents working in the EU's Food and Veterinary Office in Grange, between Dunshaughlin and Trim.
Pupils attend our mainstream classes but go to the Centre for European Schooling for additional English classes, for lessons in their own mother tongue and second language classes. At the moment we teach French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Italian. Swedish, Czech and Hungarian. The Director of the Centre is Úna Barton and Noel Dempsey TD, then Minister for Education officially opened it in June 2003.
We have recently added ten new classrooms to the school, eight small rooms for the CES, and enlarged our School Hall. Despite all the building work three of our mainstream classes are back in prefabs.
